Ba Helorette night

So I am a bit behind on posts due to the wedding came on so fast and then Cabo. I will have more up soon.

For my Bachelorette party, Traci hosted a great bash for me. I was dressed in red and everyone else was in black and white. I had a crown but the C fell out of it so we decided it was french (Ba Helorette). I wore it anyway and loved it.

First we had the pre party at her moms with drinks and snacks. Then it was off to Singlys to party it on. We had lots of drinks, played a great game of bingo, and also drew penises and voted. It was such a perfect day. After the drinking, dancing, presents, and games, we headed back to her mom’s house for movies and a sleep over. It was not long and we were all passed out.

I had such a wonderful time. Thank you, Traci, for making my party one to remember.

Rain rain go away, come again after the wedding day... only 11 days!

So we are now on the countdown to the wedding. 11 days Left. Wow, still so many last minute items it is crazy. Did I do that, oh yes we need one of those, oops forgot to pick up that… etc.

Reuben enjoyed his bachelor party last weekend and I will be having mine this weekend. Adam, Reuben’s best man, planned an outing paint-balling, bars, and a hotel for Reuben and the guys. He had a great time though he is still feeling the bruises. I just wished more people could have joined them on the festivities as he was hopping. Thank you Adam for all your work on the party and thank you to all the groomsmen for making it a great event for him.

I can’t wait for my party. Traci, my bridesmaid and mother to my Goddaughter, has planned an enjoyable night. We will be starting at her mother’s house for the pre party, then off to Singley’s and have a great night in the reserved loft. Then after the drinking festivities, we head back to her mom’s house for sappy wedding movies and a sleepover under the stars. I am so happy she took over the planning. She said she enjoyed planning it. I just can’t wait.

Tonight I am working with my Stitch and Bitch girls to assembling the programs. Let’s all pray everything is spelled correctly and works out how Reuben planned and designed. Tomorrow I am working on last minute items with my mom, seeing Traci and Paisley, and trying to get some much needed rest. This week is a frantic one as I am trying to plan for 2 weeks off from work (and it is not going to be easy). I think work is going to go nuts with out me J

I look forward to seeing you all in 11 days when I become Mrs. Betts. Let’s all pray for sunshine… the weather has been teasing us lately.

LOVE YOU!!!

Salem Bridal Shower

Jaque and Katie hosted my Bridal Shower this weekend in Salem. I had a blast. We played the game where you have to guess what famous person you are. We had some good conversations over it and it was a great icebreaker.

We then ate some good finger foods and everyone wrote a little note to Reuben and I for my scrap book. It was great reading those with him last night. Thank you!

After we had mingled and gotten our tummies full, we went out in the back yard to play another game. Everyone was broken into 5 teams of 3 and each given toilet paper to make a bridal gown on one teammate. They had 5 minutes to design the perfect wedding dress out of toilet paper and then I was to choose the winner. I laughed so hard watching everyone scramble to get the toilet paper to stay.
Angela’s group (Connie & Janet) made a great top piece with the over the shoulder look and also a nice twist in the chest area. Jaque’s group (Kelly & Linda) worked the blue flower and made a long dress (though her bottom half started to fall off at the end). Amber’s group (Heather & Miranda) did an one shoulder look and a bit asymmetrical.

Sarah’ team (Mom & Julie) did the tube-top dress look. This one was my top pic as I could imagine this actually being a wedding dress. Ashley’s team (Lauren & Cori) made her a crisscross Hawaiian dress. Hers was my second favorite. We gave out miniature roses to all the winners, a bit of life and beauty to take home with them.

Back inside we had a trivia game of “How well do you know Shirlyn & Reuben?” It was great, my mom won, but we said it was unfair as she has known me forever and we went to the next winner. It was great because it was Connie, my mom-to-be. She got the second most right. I enjoyed knowing she knows so much about me.

We finally opened gifts and I enjoyed all the great naughty clothes I get to wear for Reuben on our honeymoon. I have at least one outfit for every night we are in Cabo. Some how, every one of them fit me perfect.

Thank you everyone for such a great memorable day. I had such a great time!
